Very disappointing experience, especially because this was not the first time we had an issue with the pricing.

For the previous two days, we had coffee and a croissant in the morning for €3. Today we ordered the same thing, but we were charged €4.60 by card (€2.60 for the coffee and €2.00 for the croissant). Unfortunately, we only noticed the difference after paying.

We tried to ask the waiter who had served us why we had been charged €4.60 instead of the €3 morning price, but although he could clearly see us waiting, he did not come back to our table. We were sitting outside with my wife and our dog, so we could not simply go inside together to sort it out. Another waitress eventually came over, but she just told us that she knew nothing about it. In the end, we left without any explanation.

The €1.60 difference is not the main issue. The problem is the lack of transparency and the way the situation was handled. After several questionable experiences with the pricing, this leaves a very bad impression.

My criticism is directed primarily at the staff and the service we received, not at the establishment itself. I strongly encourage the management to investigate how customers are being charged and make sure advertised or communicated prices are applied consistently.

A customer should never have to check the receipt afterwards to find out why the same order suddenly costs significantly more.
