Can't say enough about the superb service in this place. We were there early as we had not booked and were greeted by staff with 2 guitars playing traditional Cuban music. Excellent venue and something a little different. The food was lovely. Mojitos to die for and a basic but tasty menu. You MUST book for popular times.

Without a doubt, El Tocororo is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating in.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The warmth, hospitality and genuine passion from everyone there created such a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, making the whole experience feel incredibly special.

We ordered the sharing platter, and it completely exceeded every expectation. Every single piece of meat was unbelievably tender, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavour. You could genuinely taste the care, time and passion that goes into every dish. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience. Every bite left us saying, “Wow.”

It’s rare to find a restaurant where the food, service and atmosphere are all exceptional, but El Tocororo has mastered it. If you’re visiting Nerja, this is an absolute must. I would happily travel back just to eat here again.

Thank you to everyone at El Tocororo for such an unforgettable evening. You’ve set the bar incredibly high, and I’ll be recommending your restaurant to everyone I know.

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the portions were incredibly generous. The cocktails were excellent, especially the mojitos, and the atmosphere was amazing with fantastic live Cuban music that made the whole evening feel really special. The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants we’ve visited in Nerja. We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend El Tocororo to anyone looking for incredible food, great service, and a memorable dining experience. 10/10!

​Listen, listen, listen! If you find yourself navigating the sun-drenched, whitewashed labyrinth of Nerja, do not—I repeat, do not—deprive your mortal soul of the threshold of El Tocororo.

​Named after the famously splendid Cuban bird, this place doesn't just soar; it takes your palate to the absolute stratosphere!

​Quite frankly, I am gripped with a profound, existential guilt. My good lady and I have been visiting this establishment for years—we are Practically Part of the Furniture™—and yet, I have never penned a review. Sacrilege! A dereliction of duty! Well, consider the ledger officially balanced.

​The Gastronomic Heavyweights
​The Steaks: An absolute, towering triumph of carnivore-intellect! They do not merely cook beef here; they perform a sacred ritual. Perfectly seared, obscenely juicy, and dancing with a smoky swagger that ruins you for all other steaks. It is, in a word: Majestic-Meat-Madness!

​The Mixed Grill: Now, if you dare to venture further, behold the Mixed Grill. Let us not mince words: it is a rather daunting undertaking. A gargantuan, sizzling mountain of protein that is strictly reserved for a duo of carnivores possessing insanely cumulative appetites. To confront this plate is to engage in a glorious, primal battle—and what a way to go!

​The Baked Provolone Cheese: Oh, darling, the Provolone! It is a gooey, bubbling, molten revolution in a skillet. Decadent, stringy, dairy-hued brilliance that stretches the boundaries of culinary joy. It’s like eating a cloud made of expensive, caramelised Spanish dreams.

​The Cuban Mojitos: And let us not forget the libations! We had a few of these, I can tell you! Liquid epiphanies in a highball glass. They are sharp, they are minty-fresh, they are... visceral. A rum-soaked, citrus-fuelled symphony that makes you want to abandon all responsibilities and permanently move into the corner booth.

​El Tocororo is stylish, it is spirited, and it is—quite frankly—the only place to be if you have even a shred of taste left in your weary, beach-going soul. Tocororo, you have stolen our hearts, fed our appetites, and replaced our sobriety with a garnish of pure Cuban joy!

Llegamos porque no sabíamos donde comer a las 17:00 de la tarde ya que normalmente las cocinas estan cerradas y nos encontramos con este espléndido lugar donde nos atendieron inmediatamente y lo mas sorprendente una comida de calidad, el servicio tanto de los camareros como los cocineros fue exepcional y encima nos dieron un espectáculo de música en vivo ( serenata) la verdad quedamos encantadisimos con este sitio, superó todas nuestras expectativas
