Great place and lovely owners. We've been there a few times and the food is excellent. Tapas is amazing. We're booking next week to try the Chateaubriand.

La experiencia fue correcta, aunque nada fuera de lo común. El servicio funcionó bien y los platos estaban bien presentados, pero no encontré algo que destacara especialmente respecto a otros lugares. Es un sitio donde se puede comer sin problemas, pero en mi caso esperaba quizás un poco más de originalidad o de ambiente especial.

I visited The Lounge tonight, a year after my last visit. The previous time I was here with a friend, I really enjoyed the food, but I also had the impression that the owner – a woman – was rather rude and dismissive.

Since the food was good, I decided to give the place another chance. Tonight, I ordered a glass of champagne and asked if there was a table available. The owner told me there were no available tables but that I could either sit at the bar or outside. It was quite warm outside, and the bar seating was in a small, uninviting corner, so I chose to enjoy my champagne outside while waiting in case a table opened up.

After a while, I decided I could have a quick dinner at the bar and then move on. When I went back to tell her, I was met with an almost scolding tone and told they were too busy and I would have to wait.

No matter how fine the restaurant, this kind of treatment is far from professional. In the hospitality business, respect for paying customers should come before building a name. I had every intention of ordering a proper dinner – and I’m confident my bill would have been higher than most tables there – yet I was treated as if my presence was an inconvenience.

I paid for my champagne and took my business elsewhere. Based on tonight’s experience, I won’t be returning. Good food means nothing when it comes with poor customer service.

After writing this review, I took some time to read through the owner’s responses to other guests who left critical feedback. Unfortunately, it only reinforced my impression: the owner consistently comes across as condescending, defensive, and uninterested in constructive criticism. The tone in her replies suggests that she sees no value in listening to customers – only in justifying herself.

I’ve also spoken to several other people visiting this town during the summer, and they shared similar experiences. Some of them mentioned feeling unwelcome or dismissed when they visited the restaurant. This doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident.

The place has potential – good food, a nice location, and a pleasant atmosphere. But when guests are made to feel like a burden rather than welcome customers, none of that matters. I truly hope others with similar experiences will take the time to speak up. Not to bash anyone – but to provide an honest, balanced perspective.

Myself and my partner came here for a quick bite to eat and the food was super tasty! We opted for the tapas so the food arrived quickly and we were blown away by how fresh it all tasted. The staff were lovely and friendly and the cocktail I had was delicious! Thankyou! Will be returning and recommending! ☺️

If you have read other reviews I’ve written about different restaurants we have frequented, you’ll know I am a critic, mostly due to the fact I have lots of experience as an ex-chef. For this restaurant however, I can not come up with any negative comments. This food just makes me happy. Sometimes you just come across rare pearls that make a guy like me happy/emotional. The service and staff are just amazing, and everything is spot on.
Keep doing what you are doing, you guys have the secret formula!

Decidimos ir a tomar unas copas con mis amigos en diciembre, pedimos la bebida, y nos dijeron que nos moviéramos a otra zona del bar que estábamos estorbando , porque ese día tenian mucha gente , le dijimos que no nos sirvieran las copas , que nos iríamos al bar Zarcos , que el trato es excelente de toda la vida. Y nos dijeron que las copas las teníamos que pagar aunque no estuvieran servidas, nosotros sólo dijimos que pagaríamos las servidas, pero ellos querían que pagásemos por algo que no estaba servido, y a un precio elevadísimo .Fue muy humillante el trato, muy maleducado el camarero que hablaba bien español, con amenazas , fue horrible…, y encima le pides una copa de vino blanco y te la ponen con un cubito de hielo.
No recomiendo para nada este local. El Zarcos está justo al lado y siempre nos han tratado de maravilla, camareros simpáticos y un gran servicio , 100% recomendable y buen precio!

Our favourite. The food is absolutely delicious and the best you will find in this area. Fabulous cocktails, nice staff and great vibe because of the beautiful and modern interior design.

You can taste everything is fresh and made with passion. Best carpaccio we have ever had! Shrimps to die for and the chateaubriand looks amazing and we'll try it next time we come.

Great bar located opposite Little Sicily in Los Alcázares. Owned and run by the same people as Little Sicily, so if you're familiar with that fantastic restaurant, then you know you're in for a treat at The Lounge, albeit with a slightly different vibe and atmosphere.

Varied beers and wines are on offer as well as lots of different cocktails including the usual classics as well as some new ones, lots of them with subtle twists which add to the whole Lounge vibe and theatre. White wine comes in an ice cooler with foaming dry ice in it for example; very cool. Even a Bacardi and Coke has a little dry ice surprise in it. Measures are insane (in a good way) so be prepared to be crawling back to wherever you're staying. We ate and drank there a few evenings, enjoying both their great tapas menu one evening and then the Chateaubriand on a Saturday evening. Again, like Little Sicily, the food really is excellent. There are culinary little twists to keep your taste buds entertained. The staff are friendly and provide an excellent service. All in all, a great bar, restaurant, bistro; whatever you want to call it. You really won't be disappointed.
