Our experience at this venue was shocking and deeply upsetting. My friends and I were refused entry without any clear explanation while other people were allowed inside.

We felt that we were treated differently because we are Latina women, which was humiliating and discriminatory. To make matters even worse, one of the security guards used pepper spray on my friend during the incident. We found this completely unnecessary and unacceptable.

Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their nationality or background. I sincerely hope the management investigates the conduct of their security staff so that no one else has to go through what we experienced.

As a loyal guest of Puente Romano for nearly 10 years, I never imagined my experience would end this way.
On 20 June 2026, what began as a simple complaint about poor service at La Plaza escalated into a confrontation involving management and security. Following the incident, I sought medical attention at Quirónsalud Marbella the next morning, where my symptoms were documented and a medical report was issued.
I submitted a formal complaint together with my medical report and gave the resort over three weeks to conduct an internal investigation. During that time, I cooperated fully and expected a transparent and balanced review.
The final outcome communicated to me was that I was no longer welcome at Puente Romano. I received no meaningful explanation addressing my concerns about how the incident was handled or the actions of the staff involved.
This review is not intended to damage the reputation of Puente Romano, a resort I have genuinely enjoyed for many years. I simply believe that a luxury hospitality brand should be defined not only by its beautiful facilities, but also by how it treats long-standing guests when something goes wrong.
I sincerely hope Puente Romano uses this experience as an opportunity to strengthen its commitment to transparency, accountability and guest care.

We had an amazing evening at SIPS Cocktail Bar in Puente Romano Marbella. Sergi provided exceptional service, was incredibly friendly, and recommended some fantastic cocktails. The atmosphere was stylish and vibrant, and we will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Marbella

Lo más sorprendente es que llevo 5 días alojada en el hotel y gastando dinero aquí cada día. Aun así, el empleado de la entrada me miró de arriba abajo y me trató como si tuviera que demostrarle algo para poder entrar. No estaba pidiendo ningún favor ni una consumición gratis. Soy una huésped y una clienta que paga por estar aquí. Me pareció una actitud arrogante, irrespetuosa y totalmente fuera de lugar. Una experiencia muy desagradable que no esperaba en un establecimiento de este nivel.

We visited La Plaza to celebrate a friend’s engagement and had a fantastic time from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant, the live music was excellent, and the singer even serenaded the newly engaged couple, which was both hilarious and genuinely sweet.

The drinks were great, the bites were delicious (and, if we’re not mistaken, sourced from Nobu next door), and both the waiter and waitress who looked after us during the afternoon and evening were warm, attentive, and a pleasure to deal with.

The only minor point of feedback relates to the arrival experience. We understand tables are allocated for a limited period and were already aware of the two-hour policy, having been informed by email and again over the phone beforehand. However, some members of our group felt that this point was reiterated somewhat firmly upon arrival. The message itself was perfectly reasonable; perhaps the delivery could have been a little warmer, particularly for guests celebrating a special occasion.

That aside, La Plaza was one of the highlights of our time in Marbella, and we look forward to returning.

The #1 stop for a GREAT cocktail. Michael is an amazing bartender and your drinks will be perfect . Manuela is the best waitress and makes you feel so taken care of. I would come here a million times because of the two of them. Unmatched service!! I love this place.
