Immer wieder gerne
Mega Atmosphäre, absolut empfehlenswert 👍
Unbedingt zu empfehlen die Frikadellen!!!!
Immer ein Besuch wert☀️
Super Service & TOP Preis-Leistung
Always a party!
I loved Apotheke, but not any more. The focus is on a beach part, veeery slow service inside. All gay spirit gone.Nothing last forever…
28/4/26 - Tuesday evening beers & snack
We 3 guys from London had spent a windswept and too cool an hour in the late afternoon at Kiosk 7. We needed a beer and warm up so headed back towards the Faro thinking of popping into the German themed gaybar in the busier centre.
We usually avoid the inside bar as it is so smoky and noisy.
This time we discovered the space outside overlooking the beach. It was much more convivial and more sheltered than the beach. Two loud neighbouring competing sound systems vied for our attention.
At about 6:10 we took a table by the pathway, were attended to by a friendly waiter offering us the colourful menu. We perused it and ordered 3 Weissenbeers (von vas/draught) at a very good price of 5.5/.5l (considering it is imported). He asked whether we wanted food, we declined.
We charged our minds re food so ordered a Frikadelle/meatball with Currysauce between us as a German beersnack at a reasonable €4.40. When in Rome...In for a Penny in for a Pound.
The beers came quickly, the snack in good time. Both were very tasty!!
As pescatarians we usually avoid meat but decided to try this German meaty treat (I am half German). The meatball was more a large thick meatball, not small balls as expected. It was still very good and the currysauce authentically German (and nothing like English or Indian curry). It came with a piece of French bread (useful as La Scarpetta) for free! We were also given three sets of knives and forks... as we said we'd share it.
As we drank and ate we became the last of the hardy gays outside as the parasols were taken down and cushions taken in.
We paid for the orders, rounding up to €21. We found it more comfortable (the sun was breaking through and the wind had died down) so we ordered a couple more of the same beers to share. I paid on the spot as the waiters were packing up the chairs as we were the last outside, no pressure though. At 7:30 two of the waiters left at the end of their shift.
After a relaxed second drink it was getting cooler. The remaining waiter was patiently waiting for us to leave so he could tidy up, he never pressured us. I thanked him as we left just before 8, after a visit to the loo just up the stairs, to return to our apartment for our home cooked big meal to use up all the ingredients before we leave tomorrow.
