pizza molto buona e personale gentile
The pizza was genuinely very good, which is the only reason this review gets one star.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by a series of unexpected charges and practices that left us feeling misled rather than welcomed. Several items appeared on the bill that were not communicated clearly beforehand, and what seemed like a friendly gesture turned out to be another charge, totally different from all other restaurants we visited here.
The issue is not the amount of money itself. We are perfectly happy to pay premium prices when the value is clear. We regularly visit places such as Ushuaïa or Hï Ibiza, where nobody expects things to be cheap. The difference is that you know exactly what you are paying for, and the experience delivers on that promise.
What guests struggle with is not spending money. What they struggle with is leaving with the feeling that transparency was missing. Once that feeling appears, it overshadows everything else, including the quality of the food.
It is a shame because good food deserves honest hospitality. In the long run, trust, clarity, and respect create loyal customers. Practices that leave guests questioning whether they were treated fairly may generate a little extra revenue today, but they often cost something much more valuable: a customer's trust and willingness to return.
There are many excellent restaurants on the island that make guests feel appreciated and respected. Sadly, this was not one of them.
I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to others.
Update after owner's response:
Thank you for your reply. However, this still reinforces the main point of the original review.
The issue was never the €2 per person, and certainly not “one star for €2”. We clearly stated that paying premium prices is not a problem when expectations and communication are transparent.
During our stay on Formentera we happily visited and highly rated several excellent restaurants. In many of them, a Hierbas at the end was a complimentary gesture. Here, however, it was presented in a way that created a different expectation while every small serving was charged separately.
The pizza itself was genuinely good. Unfortunately, transparency and the way guest feedback is handled are also part of the overall experience.
I said that if you sit in a table you pay 2 euro each for everithing that can do service and everithing else !! Almost a shot when finish your dish! Thanks for one star for 2 euro 😄
Tutto top
Pizza top a formentera
Everything was amazing! The staff, the food and location. We went every night and they not only serve pizza - the pasta and salad was delicious - and cocktails too!
Amazing food, staff and service
Very few people even though the pizzeria is right at the center of town just off the main sea Promenade. The pizza itself was burnt and the Tomato didn't have much quality. The service was accommodating but I should have spot the warning sites i.e. a empty place
Ci sentiamo sempre a casa quando veniamo qui. Da napoletani pizza top!
Grazie
Terrible. Ambiente como si fuera Magaluf. Los camareros no respetan a los clientes.
The pizza was genuinely excellent. In fact, that’s the only reason this review gets one star, because unfortunately zero stars isn’t an option.
What completely ruined the experience was the feeling of being treated like a tourist wallet rather than a guest. We were charged €4 for a “cover charge” despite receiving no bread, no snacks, and no explanation of what this charge was actually for.
At the end of the meal, we were asked if we would like a shot. Throughout Formentera, complimentary shots after dinner are quite common, so naturally we assumed this was a similar gesture. Instead, we were charged €5 per shot. Not only were they expensive, they were tiny and honestly among the worst shots we’ve had on the island.
To make matters worse, both of us experienced stomach issues after our visit.
The saddest part is that places like this damage the reputation of destinations that depend on tourism. Most visitors are happy to pay fair prices for good food and good service. What people don’t appreciate is feeling misled or taken advantage of. A successful business should be built on hospitality, transparency and trust, not on finding extra ways to squeeze money out of guests.
The pizza deserves praise. Everything else left us wishing we had chosen a different restaurant.
