I celebrated my birthday at Bonavida in 2023, and it turned into one of the best evenings I can remember. Fantastic cocktails, genuinely great service and a beautiful, atmospheric interior. Everything just came together that night. If I find myself in Barcelona again, coming back here is non-negotiable.

Llegué a Bonavida completamente por casualidad, sin ninguna expectativa, y terminó siendo una de esas agradables sorpresas que encuentras caminando por Barcelona.

Desde el primer momento, la bienvenida, el ambiente y el trato fueron excelentes. El lugar tiene personalidad, una carta de cócteles muy creativa y, sobre todo, un equipo realmente amable y profesional.

Un agradecimiento muy especial a Alan, el bartender que me atendió. Es de Galicia, en el norte de España, y fue absolutamente fantástico. Profesional, cercano, educado y con un gran conocimiento de bebidas y vinos. Tuvimos una conversación genial sobre Galicia, vinos españoles, cócteles y gastronomía.

Yo realmente no había venido con intención de comer, pero le pregunté a Alan: “¿Qué debería probar de vuestra comida?”. Sin dudarlo, me recomendó los chicken tenders. Seguí su recomendación y, sinceramente, estaban espectaculares. Crujientes, muy sabrosos y perfectamente preparados. Una recomendación excelente, y tengo que agradecérsela también. 👌🏻🍗

Además, me recomendó Martín Códax Albariño de Rías Baixas para acompañar marisco, otra recomendación que definitivamente voy a seguir. 🍷🦐

Se nota que en Bonavida no se trata simplemente de servir una copa o un plato, sino de cuidar toda la experiencia.

Alan, muchas gracias por tu hospitalidad, tus recomendaciones y la gran conversación. Personas así son las que hacen que recuerdes un lugar y quieras volver.

I discovered Bonavida completely by chance, with no expectations, and it turned into one of those great little surprises you find while walking around Barcelona.

From the moment I arrived, the welcome, atmosphere and service were excellent. The place has real character, a very creative cocktail menu and, most importantly, a genuinely friendly and professional team.

A very special thank you to Alan, the bartender who looked after me. He is originally from Galicia in northern Spain and was absolutely fantastic. Professional, welcoming, respectful and extremely knowledgeable about drinks and wine. We had a great conversation about Galicia, Spanish wines, cocktails and food.

I actually wasn’t planning to eat, but I asked Alan, “What should I try from your food menu?” Without hesitation, he recommended the chicken tenders. I followed his recommendation and, honestly, they were absolutely fantastic. Crispy, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Another excellent recommendation from Alan, and one I have to thank him for. 👌🏻🍗

He also recommended Martín Códax Albariño from Rías Baixas to enjoy with seafood, another recommendation that I will definitely be following. 🍷🦐

You can tell that Bonavida is not simply about serving a drink or a plate of food. They genuinely care about the whole experience.

Alan, thank you very much for the hospitality, the recommendations and the great conversation. People like you are what make you remember a place and want to come back.

The bar's atmosphere is cozy and perfect for unwinding as a couple, but what really won us over was the food menu and the quality at the bar. We ordered nachos packed with flavor and chipotle beef that had just the right touch of spice—tender and full of depth; every single bite was a real delight. We want to compliment the chef, because you can genuinely feel the quality, technique, and care behind every dish.
​To go with it, the drinks were just as impressive: the cocktails were perfectly balanced, refreshing, and crafted with incredible care. A very special shoutout to the bartender for his skill and recommendations, which paired flawlessly with the food. The entire staff provided warm and flawless service. Without a doubt, this is a place we’ll be returning to very soon.

The right beer (Paulaner !), the right snacks (Croquetas), the right service (Friendly and Efficient) and the right ambiance (background music, lighting and seating arrangements)....the only formula for success.......thanks to the team for making us feel welcome and at home ! Definitely recommended to anyone after a nice experience in a cocktail bar in the heart of BCN !

Si buscas un lugar con buen rollo, buena música y un ambiente espectacular, el Bar Buena Vida es una parada obligatoria. Pero lo que realmente hace especial a este sitio es el equipo. El trato por parte de Alan y Mariano fue simplemente fantástico. Mariano es un crack detrás de la barra, prepara unos cócteles increíbles y te hace sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Sin duda, un lugar para volver una y otra vez. Súper recomendado
